Speciality : ichtyology

  • Fish biology and ecology : life history traits (growth, reproduction and migration).
  • Sclerochronology in fishes : estimation of age and growth from the marks recorded and conserved in calcified structures (mainly otoliths but also scales, spines, fin rays and vertebrae), and applications to tropical populations.
  • Methodological tools : scaning electron microscopy, microchemical analysis, image processing.
