BIOGRAPHIE :

I study the respiratory physiology of fishes, in particular as related to energy metabolism. From basic mechanisms (how fishes sense oxygen and optimise uptake and delivery) to applications in ecophysiology (complex traits of respiratory metabolism as biomarkers of environmental adaptation) to evolutionary physiology (why the traits vary among individuals, how they might co-vary with other traits of energetics or personality).
